Scottie "The Spark" Paul graduated from Brock University (St. Catharines, ON) with an honors degree in Sport Management in 2003. He is a certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and is the Personal Trainer Director at "The Club" at White Oaks Conference Center in Niagara-On-The-Lake, ON. Scottie "The Spark" Paul participated in over 40 amateur fights and won the 2006 Ringside World Championship Tournament in Kansas City MO before turning pro in 2007.




Scottie "The Spark" Paul is one of the most exciting up and coming boxers to hit the professional stage of late. He is always ready, and is a positive personality to have in the gym and on a boxing card.

SCOTTIE GEARS UP FOR 8 ROUNDS

September 1, 2009

The Spark will be entering the ring in Halifax for his first 8 round match up again Aaron Kinch. The contract is signed and training continues for Scottie Paul. This match will take place at a pro-am show on October 3rd, the location has yet to be announced. The anticipation for this graduation from 4 rounds to 8 rounds is truly an exciting development for our fighter. Training and patience has paid off, and NFBC knows that Scottie Paul is more then ready for this development. The Spark is looking forward to the remainder of 2009 and the upcoming 2010 contracts. 

RAMA SHOW CANCELED FOR SCOTTIE

Disappointing news for "The Spark" came through over the weekend. The promoter for the Casino Rama show has canceled the match up between Scottie "The Spark" Paul and Jason Hayward on June 26th, 2009.

LAST MINUTE ACTION FOR PAUL
Brantford, ON

Scottie "The Spark" Paul (4-2, 1ko) is ready to fight on a moments notice! Point proven when he accepted a match up with Dan Slezsak (0-2) this morning. The bout will take place on Saturday May 30th at the Brantford Civic Center. Head on up for a night at the fights.

Upon acceptance of the above match Manager Ron Gallen was again on the phone with yet another promoter looking to book Paul. June 26th, 2009 Paul will take on Jason Hayward on a Moliter undercard. Get your tickets NOW.

RESULT

Scottie "The Spark" Paul (5-2, 1ko) was awarded a win by decision after four full rounds of action on Saturday night. Paul rocked Slezsak (0-3) with his jab no less then once per round. Proving that even after dropping eight pounds in three days "The Spark" is a force to be reckend with. Paul is now preparing for his match up with Jayson Hayward (6-6, 2ko) coming up on June 26th at Casino Rama. Way to go Scottie!

Scottie "The Spark" Paul (4-2,1ko) has been invited to box on a show in Toronto that is being put together by Dewith Frazer. The show is in the works. More information to follow as it comes in. 

 

 

 

THURSDAY APRIL 2, 2009
Toronto, ON

Scottie "The Spark" Paul (3-2,1ko) is ready for his match up with Jorge Bannos (3-2-3) this evening at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. Contracts were settled back in February and preparations have been going on since then for our Scottie "The Spark". Paul, true to form, has been training relentlessly to improve skills and conditioning to ensure that this will be an exciting match up. Manager and coach, Ron Gallen made road trip after road trip to expose Scottie to some excellent sparring with "The Canadian Kid" Steve Molitor (28-1, 11ko) and Buzz Grant (6-3, 4ko). Anyone lucky enough to have tickets to this exclusive event should be sure to arrive for the first match up between these two warriors, it's going to be a great bout.

Thanks to Steve Molitor and Buzz Grant for the time spent to help prepare Scottie "The Spark" Paul for this match up.

RESULT

Bannos proved he was a tough contender after feeling Pauls power in the first round and nearly suffering a knock down. Bannos held on for the full six rounds despite "The Spark" controlling the match from start to finish. Paul was awarded a unanimous decision. Way to go Scottie "The Spark" Paul (4-2,1ko).

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 15, 2008
Niagara Falls, NY

 

Scottie "The Spark" Paul (3-2, 1ko) suffered a disappointing loss against Josh "Steamin" Beeman (4-2-2, 2ko) at 1min 41sec of the 1st round. The match was stopped by the referee. Paul exited the ring to cheers from his many fans that came out to see the match. Scottie "The Spark" will return. Read the article by Dan Dakin in the Niagara Falls Review.

Belleville, ON
 
Scottie "The Spark" Paul took the fight to Quebec's Aboualye Coulibay in their 4-round bout in Belleville. Paul dominated the fight, knocking down Coulibaly late in the fourth round, en route to a unanimous decision and his third consecutive win.

SATURDAY APRIL 5, 2008  
Casino Rama - Rama ON

Scottie Paul overwhelmed tough Josue Sosas, from Mexico in an exciting 4-round lightweight match.  The fight was featured on the undercard of Steve Molitor's IBF World Championship defense.  Paul dominated the fight, winning every round on all three judges scorecards to pick up his second professional win.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 10, 2007
Powerade Centre - Brampton ON

After losing a close decision in his pro debut, Scottie Paul stepped in the ring again, avenging his loss against Dan Slezak, from Brantford, Ontario. The referee stopped the contest in the second round, after Paul put Slezak to the canvas three different times within those two rounds, all from well placed shots to the body.  This give Paul his first professional win.

Scottie Paul made his long awaited professional debut. Paul dropped a close 4-round decision to Harrison McBain of Belleville, Ontario, with one judge scoring it a draw and the other two ruling in favour of McBain.
