LEARN A LITTLE BIT ABOUT NIAGARA FALLS BOXING CLUB
Niagara Falls Boxing Club is and has been a positive place of sport and team building in the Niagara Falls community since 1978. We have made our name through hard work, honesty and the devotion of many volunteers along the way. We have always been a not for profit organization that welcomes members from all walks of life. We offer education on nutrition, healthy lifestyle and the fitness disapline to all. We know that our methods work, and these invaluable traits translate into usable life lessons. NFBC makes lifetime ties to many of the members who train with us.

Niagara Falls Boxing Club has been a not
for
profit sport club in Niagara since 1978.
Established
by
John Degazio, it
began at the old
Kimberly Clarke
Building, moving to
Queen
and
Ontario Street,
and is presently
at
Niagara Industrial
Mall.
The
club is dedicated to the
youth of
our community, however
members range
from 11 years of age
to over 40.
All members
have a
chance to participate in a
sport
that can lead to Provincial,
Canadian and
International
tournaments. Every
effort is
made to ensure
all
members are able
to participate,
regardless of
financial
situations. The
majority of
funding
for the club is
raised by
weekly
bingos at Delta Monte
Carlo. If
you would like to make a
donation to
NFBC or if you
would
like to
sponsor
a boxer at NFBC visit
the CONTACTS
page for more information.

Our Present
NFBC helps cultivate amateur and
professional boxing careers, if there is the desire
to succeed in an
individual. The
staff at NFBC has
experience in all
aspects
of managing and
training successful amateur and professional
boxers.
Our club has both male and female working together, teaching not only the sport, but what it is to be a member of a team. In our group, it's important for our members to feel that they really belong to something. Our members are supported not only by the coaching and training staff but by other team members as well. We ask that all our members do their personal best at all times. The theory is simple, you'll get out what you put in, the more you put in, the more you get out. NFBC does not discriminate, training is the same for male/female, younger/older, newbie/veteran or amateur/professional.

NFBC in Our Community

NFBC gets involved in
the community on a
regular basis. We
have been, and
continue to be a part of Run For the
Grapes, Walk for
Hospice
Niagara, The Rankin Cancer Run,
Skylon Stair Climb for
Cancer and The
Candy Cane
Lane 5km
for Project
S.H.A.R.E. New for 2010 a team will be heading up to Springwater, ON to participate in a 100km, 48 hour Trail Hike in support of OxFam Canada!
We
encourage all
members to participate
along
with
their families and
friends.
The club also works
with the local high schools
and
community groups. We invite their physical education
department to participate
in classes to experience
the
health benefits of boxing.
NFBC
makes an
effort to
educate members
and
parents/guardians the importance
of
healthy living
in and out of
the gym. We have a number of physical trainers that are certified and knowledgeable in their fields to answer any questions regarding training, nutrition and leading a healthy lifestyle.
We are
also pleased to have a professional A.R.T.
therapist at
our disposal to advise
on proper stretching
and
maintenance
exercises for our
athletes.

NFBC On The Road
Niagara Falls Boxing Club is one of the most active clubs in the Niagara Region. The coaching and training staff will travel to any show or tournament that our boxers can compete in. In addition to club shows all over the region, NFBC is a regular participant in the Ringside Tournament in Kansas City, MO and the Coupe Du Quebec in Longueuil, P.Q. All boxers that qualify for these tournaments are encouraged to train hard to earn a spot on these traveling teams. All trips have proven to be positive and are great team building experiences for all involved.
NFBC Fighters have and do represent the Niagara Region, the Province of Ontario and Canada in our sport.

Our Future
The Niagara Falls Boxing Club would like to continue to be a place where all people can come and enjoy the sport of boxing in whatever capacity they choose. We would like to welcome new athletes to the sport and provide a place where everyone can afford to participate. This can only continue through the involvement of the community, parents, guardians and friends of our members. Niagara Falls Boxing Club is not for profit and all trainers and coaches are volunteers. Help keep the club in operation with your support. Visit our contacts page if you would like to make a donation to the gym or if you would like to sponsor an event or fighter.
